Terms and conditions

1. Introduction:

   Secret Romania (referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”please read the About us page) is a trademark of Flio Travel&Events SRL, CUI 33864909, J40/14009/03.12.2014. These terms & conditions apply to all the products and services on our websites (www.secretromania.com & www.shop.secretromania.com). By buying a product or a service from us, you agree with these terms and conditions. They may be modified and posted on our websites from time to time. Any purchase you make will be governed by the terms in place at the time of your order. The Law of Romania shall apply to these Terms and Conditions and all legal relations between you and Flio Travel & Events SRL.
   When you make a booking with us/ you purchase products from us, you confirm that you are minimum of 18 years old and that all details you provide for the purpose of purchasing are correct. You are fully responsible for any consequences resulting from your details being provided incorrectly.

2. Our products and services:

   Our company offers the following types of products and services:

   • Day trips, multi-day private tours, and guided tours in the city
     All our day trips, multi-day private tours, and guided tours in the city can be found on the www.secretromania.com website. All our tours on www.secretromania.com can be customized as they are private tours (unless something else is specified in their description) and they cannot be added to the cart and paid directly. You can only request them on our website(using the booking form for each tour) and we will confirm their availability and send you the secure payment link. Another way to ask for a private tour (even a customized one that is not on our list), is to call us at 0040756536779 or write us at office[at]secretromania.com. The booking is considered confirmed only after the client agrees with the offer and pays the down-payment/the whole amount, depending on the tour he selected, using the link he received from us or by bank transfer.
   • Treasure hunts:
     All our treasure hunts and virtual experiences can be found in our online store shop.secretromania.com. They can be bought online by adding them to the cart, placing the order, and paying them online, with your credit card. To buy these treasure hunts and virtual experiences you must provide first, your personal details for the invoice, and second, your card details for the payment (in the secure payment link). We may use some treasure hunts as free marketing materials and these terms apply the same to them.

3. Payments and cancellation:

   For the products and services sold by Flio Travel & Events the payment will be made as follows:

   • When you book a day trip or a tour shorter than one day (doesn’t include accommodation):
     You must pay a 20% down-payment when the booking is made and the rest until or on the day of the tour. The down payment will be paid online, using a secure payment link or by bank transfer in our account. The final payment will be made cash, on the day of the tour or online, using a secure payment link/ by bank transfer in our account until the day of the tour. If you want to change the day of your tour you can do it a minimum of 5 days before the tour. The change can be made only after we confirm the tour’s availability for the new day. If you decide to cancel the tour, you will lose the 20% down payment.
   • When you book a multi-day tour(includes accommodation):
     If you book it with more than 30 days before the tour, you must pay a 20% down-payment when the booking is made  and the rest with a minimum of 30 days before the departure. If you book it with less than 30 days before the tour, you must pay 100%. The payments will be made online, using a secure payment link or by bank transfer in our account.
     If you want to change the starting date of your tour you can do it a minimum of 15 days before the departure. The change may add extra cost to the initial price (because of the hotels’ different rates for different periods of the year). The new booking is considered confirmed after you agree to the new cost (if necessary) and we confirm the tour’s availability for the new period of time. However, the tour may not be available on the new date you request. In this case or in case you don’t agree with the new price, we will try to offer you an alternative. If it is not possible, the cancellation policy will apply.
     The cancellation policy for the multi-day tours is:
     – up to 30 days before the trip start date, a cancellation fee equal to the down payment (20%) applies
     – from 15 to 29 days before the trip start date, 50% of the total price of the trip is non-refundable;
     – from 14 days or fewer before the trip start date and in the event of a no-show a fee of 100%;
   • When you buy a treasure hunt/ a virtual experience:
     You can buy treasure hunts in the cities and virtual experiences from our online store www.shop.secretromania.com. After you add it to the cart, you fill in your data for the invoice and you place the order. The website will automatically redirect you to our payment processor website (euplatesc.ro) where you will fill in your card details. Once the payment is confirmed and the order is placed you will receive on your email address the link to access the treasure hunt/ the virtual experience you bought.
     For the treasure hunts and the virtual experiences bought from our online store shop.secretromania.com we can offer you a full refund in maximum 5 days after you bought the experience in any of the following cases:
     -you encountered technical issues
     -you didn’t open the treasure hunt and are unable to play it anymore for various reasons
     To receive the refund please write us at office[at]secretromania.com mentioning the reason why you want your money back, your access code, and the day you tried to play it and we will get back to you.

   If the service you bought had to be cancelled or modified due to force major events (circumstances unforeseeable or beyond our control), we will do our best to notify you as soon as we can. However, in such cases, we cannot take responsibility for any losses you may suffer.
   If our company cannot provide you with the service you ordered due to the fault of our employees or suppliers, we will refund you the price paid for the ordered service. In this case, our liability will be limited to the price of the booked Service.
   If you try to pay with a credit card that has insufficient funds, is expired or you are not the owner of the card, you will be liable for all charges and consequences of doing so.

4. Participants’ obligations:

   Participants must be in appropriate physical condition for the tour they booked. Any physical condition, diet, or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing when the reservation is made.
   In order to take part in a tour, participants must not smoke in the car nor consume alcohol or drugs, must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and must have behaviour that doesn’t affect the other passengers or the driver’s safety. Also, passengers must not have an infectious disease. If any of these conditions are not fulfilled we may refuse to carry on the tour.
   The participants undertake to meet requirements of the current laws of Romania on border-crossing, rules of staying in the country of temporary stay, customs and traditions of the local population, custom requirements and rules of entry/exit from the country of temporary stay, not to break the public order and legality in the country of temporary stay, observe internal regulation and fire safety rules in places of location and staying.
   All persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire journey.
   The participants certify that they have medical insurance which will cover personal accidents, medical expenses, repatriation costs, and all other expenses which might arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience occurring to the participant, or that in the absence of this medical insurance coverage, the participant agrees to pay all costs of rescue and/or medical services as may be incurred on the participant’s behalf.

5. Privacy

   Your privacy is very important to us therefore we are committed to protecting all the information you share with us. Please read our privacy policy and cookie policy.

6. Liability

   For the treasure hunts and virtual experiences bought from www.shop.secretromania.com or used as marketing materials on any of our websites secretromania.com, secretromania.ro, shop.secretromania.com we cannot offer any warranties that they will work in any conditions. Errors may occur for various reasons and we will try to fix them as soon as you let us know about them. By participating in our treasure hunts and virtual experiences you agree that neither Flio Travel & Events SRL nor any person associated with us will be liable for any direct or indirect damages that arise in any way from this. Cross the street carefully, don’t walk while you read something on your phone, and avoid the normal urban risks.
   For the tours and day trips booked with us, it is your responsibility to make sure you have the necessary documents and that you fulfil all the conditions to arrive in Romania and take part in the tour. Should you fail to fulfil these conditions, you will be liable for any additional costs and the no show policy will apply.

7. Copyright

   All the elements on our websites www.secretromania.com and www.shop.secretromania.com are owned by us or are used with the owner’s permission. You may not copy, download, or use anything from these websites without our prior written permission.
   You cannot remove or alter any copyright mark or other proprietary rights incorporated in or accompanying the websites.
