Day 1: Welcome to Bucharest

Bucharest is the capital of Romania and the biggest city in the country. It doesn’t have a great history like Rome, but it has something to offer for everyone. You can find here the second largest building in the world – the Parliament palace, that deserves a stop. If you need a quick preview of the different regions of the country, take a long walk in the Village museum. Day 2: Discover Bucharest with kids

It’s only your third day in Romania, but in holidays it’s important also to relax. Therme Bucharest is a very modern and large recreation center, with pools for all ages. After you had enough swimming, continue relaxing in the beautiful palace Mogosoaia or in its gardens, near the lake.

Day 3: Relaxing moments

In day 4 leave Bucharest behind and stop first in Sinaia, a mountain resort at the foot of the Carpathians. You can visit here a great castle, Peles castle, with opulent interiors and old furniture. Continue your road to the next mountain resort, Busteni, where you can take the cable car until the top and see some natural wonders: Babele and Sphinx stones. Your last stop will be in Brasov.

Day 4: Carpathian mountains

Welcome to Brasov! Start your morning with a long walk in the city center of Brasov and discover its medieval charm. Surrounded by mountains, very old and colorful, Brasov is one of the most visited cities in Romania.

Day 5: Some adventure in Brasov with kids

Day 6: Dracula and dinosaurs in one day!

In day 7 it’s time to leave Brasov and go to Turda. A beautiful salt mine waits you there. Inside you can play games, visit the salt museum or even take a boat trip on the underground lake. On the road, you can have a quick stop in Sighisoara for lunch or just to admire the beautiful, old citadel and its colorful houses.

Day 8 will take you in the beautiful Apuseni mountains. You will see here scenic landscapes and enjoy a short mountain trail. But whatever you do, you cannot miss Scarisoara cave that hides the biggest glacier in Romania. Take warm clothes since there are only 2 degrees there, even during summer!

Day 8: Ice miracle in Romania

Continue your adventure in Apuseni mountains with another mysterious cave – Bears cave. A pink underground scenery and a very old bear skeleton will make you wonder what else is hiding our planet?
Your day will end in Hunedoara, with a beautiful fairy tale castle. Children and adults love it for its medieval air, large interiors and princely atmosphere. Day 9: Visit Corvin castle with kids

Use day 10 to say goodbye to Transylvania and meet another beautiful region of Romania, Oltenia. A wild road through the Jiu gorge will take you there. Admire the famous sculptures of Brancusi in Targu Jiu (Endless column, the Table of silence and the Gate of kiss). Visit one of the old mansions used by lords centuries ago near Horezu and spend your night in Horezu, known for pottery.

Day 10: Quick stop in Oltenia
