Secret story of Dracula day trip

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and after an hour ride, he will stop you in front of Targoviste Royal court. The former capital of Wallachia, Targoviste is today a small town. But its architecture and important monuments show the glory it once had.

You will visit the old church, the tower used as a prison and the ruins of the old court. Vlad the Impaler is the founder of the fortifications.       Had an excellent time with Florin. Trip took about 12 hours and was completely worth it. Highlights certainly include the Curtea de Arges Monastery and the princely court. The real gem in this whole trip was climbing the stairs to Poienari Castle and imagining Vlad the Implaler being right there. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and even customized our trip for us based on our interests. I highly recommend this tour for anyone with an interest of 15th century Romanian history.

      This trip gave a fascinating insight into ‘count Dracula’ Vlad the impaler. It was a long day given how far Bran is from Bucharest. Our guide was very good and informative. Well worth the day trip from Bucharest!
